I'm completely new, where do I start?

If you've never embroidered before, we recommend a full DIY embroidery kit.

It comes with everything you need to complete an entire project, plus it sets you up with some extra supplies for future projects.

Full Kits contain:

  • A pre-printed sticker(s)
  • Yarn in various colors (extra is always included for learning/mistakes
  • 2 quality stainless steel needles
  • An optional water soluble marker

Do I need a sweater?

Maybe...

Our kits come with everything to embroider ONTO a sweater or wearable item of your choice. You do not need to use a sweater, but you will need to pick out a wearable item of your choice.

Knit sweaters and blankets are recommended if you're a beginner as they're a more forgiving material to learn on.

If you're a beginner we recommend a knitted item to start as they're easier to work with. Sweaters and blankets are a great choice here!

What is that special paper?

We use only Sulky Stick 'n Stitch water soluble paper in our kits and stitch packs. It's the highest quality paper for this hobby and performs amazingly well.

Do I need a fancy printer?

Nope!

Any printer will work, simple feed the paper in so that you're printing out on the fabric side of the paper.

What yarn do I use?

We have a collection of 36 beautifully crafted yarns on our website. These have been meticulously chosen by Anna for their color fast qualities, softness, and durability. Shop those HERE!

If shopping in stores, look for 100% acrylic yarn in a weight 4/Medium. If you can find anti-pill or low-pill yarn, that works best for durability.

Our current favorites are Premier's line of Anti-Pilling Yarn which can be founded HERE

How do digital templates work?

Simply open up the digital pattern PDF or Canva file on your desktop or mobile device. Select the design you'd like and print it!

Each design has been hand-drawn by Anna and has been tried and tested specifically for hand-embroidery.

PDF template, meaning you can print it directly as is with no fuss

Canva template, meaning you can go in and manipulate the pattern (re-size, scale, change names, etc.)

What size do I need?

Please measure your intended garment prior to purchasing and follow the size guide on the listing or digital.

For sweaters it is recommended to measure the chest and subtract 1-2" from each size.

So if your sweater is 12" across the chest I'd opt for the 9" size sticker, or small size template.

Please note, items like denim jackets may have "seams" along the back that should be avoided when stitching.

Can I sell finished pieces?

Yes!

In fact we encourage it here. As long as you hand-embroidered a finished piece yourself using our patterns you can sell it.

We just ask to be tagged or credited for the pattern where applicable to provide full transparency.

Please note this does not extend to materials with our instructions or templates on it. So printed or digital version of these materials are strictly prohibited from sale.

Can I use thread instead of yarn?

Yes!

Each of our digital items can be printed smaller to use with DMC embroidery floss/thread instead of yarn.

We provide a complimentary thread purchasing guide on the digitals, but no specific thread embroidery guides are provided.

Do I need to know how to stitch?

Nope!

All of our templates and kits come with free instructions that are always available for how to stitch, wash, and maintain your pieces!

Each pattern and kit on our website comes with a skill level listed in the description, we recommend starting with a Beginner Level if you're new. But each one can be done by all skill levels!

I've lost my digital, do I need to rebuy it?

Absolutely not!

We keep a full log of all digital items purchased through both this storefront and our Etsy platform.

If you've purchased a pattern through us in the past and can't find it (yes even if it's been years). Simple send us an email at:

We would be more than happy to search for your order and re-send all of the materials to your email address.

Do I need to back my item before wearing?

No!

We use only 100% super soft acrylic in our kits and recommendations. It's delicate even on gentle newborn skin and can be worn without discomfort.

If you do wish to place a piece of tender touch on the back of your more stable pieces (think denim and cotton shirts). This is the brand we recommend:

What if I can't finish the project?

We aim for 100% statisfication guaranteed. Meaning if for any reason or another you don't like the project, or you can't finish it. Send it back to us for a full refund!
